Beautiful New Albums!

Well, wedding season is almost here again, regardless of what mother nature is telling us with all of this snow. Naturally, with weddings my mind goes directly to making beautiful pictures, and after that, to finding ways to share those pictures with the people you love! And I’m not just talking about posting an album online (though I do love myself a bit of Facebook from time to time). I’m talking about actually putting ink to a really fine photographic paper, combining it all with luxurious silk and leather, hand bound together  to last a lifetime. Of course, I’m talking about albums.

For the 2013 season, I will be carrying a new line of albums to help you to share your memories with everyone you know, and enable you to have those memories preserved for the rest of your life. They are hand-made here in Canada, and each one can be customized to suit you and your personality perfectly. I could go on and on about the cover materials, the custom endpapers, and the just beauty of seeing photographs in print rather than always on screen the way we are so accustomed to seeing them these days, but I’d rather just share a few pictures with everyone.

Contest Winner #2 – The Moreau Family | Edmonton Family Photographer

And quickly following on the heels of that LAST post, here is lucky winner #2, Amy Moreau! Amy has a beautiful little family and wanted to get some portraits made to share with their friends and family, especially some extended family who live in Turkey! It’s awesome to think my pictures might make it that far!

Thanks to the whole family for coming out and putting up with me posing and directing and generally being a fussy bossypants. :)

Contest Winner #1 – Angela | Edmonton Portrait Photographer

Many, many moons ago I kicked-off the relaunch of this website with a little give-away: two mini-portrait sessions to random fans of In the Moment Photography! I’m happy to report that the contest was super successful, and ended up setting both portrait sessions for a beautiful fall photoshoot out at the Strathcona Science Park, on the same day too!

Here is the first lucky winner, Angela Kujat! Her boyfriend was in town and the three of us went for a little walk through my favourite little gem of a park and made a few beautiful pictures. This set is proof that you don’t necessarily NEED a huge photoshoot to make a few great images.

New Business Cards!

This might seem a little silly to post about on a Friday night (honestly, I feel pretty silly doing it), but I’m just too excited to not share: my new business cards came in recently and I’m hopelessly in love with them! Seriously, let’s set-up a fake meeting just so I can shake your hand and pass one of these beauties to you across the table. Pictures don’t quite do the tactility of the paper justice, they really must be held to be appreciated. Maybe I’m a bit over-excited.

Anyways, props where props are due before I share some shameless pictures of me new beauties.

Design was done by the stellar and cool Jess from IROCKSOWHAT, who also did my blog header unless you’re missing the similarity there.

Printing was by Print Pinball from Portland, OR. Their product is just so freaking cool, and exactly the aesthetic I was after. I have a sample pack if you’re interested in seeing their other product sizes, or just want to fondle some more papery goodness.

*sigh* Here they are!
