The great thing about being a wedding photographer is that you get to see so much about the world that you wouldn’t normally get to see. Different family traditions. Different cultures. Different people, all looking their best. Donna & Mickey’s wedding was a terrific combination of all three – a traditional Ukrainian wedding ceremony (conducted at least part in Ukrainian), two big, gregarious families coming together to celebrate, and two wonderful people who found each other and love each other and pledged their lives to one another.
After the fun we had on their engagement shoot, I hoped the wedding would be a blast too, and I was not disappointed. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!
There was a traditional Ukrainian blessing ceremony at Donna’s parent’s house…
Followed by the ceremony itself… very traditional, and a very full church as well!
The wedding party, looking good in Goldbar Park.
The flower girl, and Mickey’s little grand-daughter…
And finally, the reception. Who knew that a Ukrainian/Irish wedding would be just a rockin’ party?
(P.S. Does that photo look familiar? I love seeing my own work on display. Makes me happy.)
