I’s been 6 busy, filled, rewarding months with the Finnster in our house, and we had the chance to celebrate these 6 months on and around Christmas (he was born on the 22nd). It was a nice culmination of the first stages of his life – he’s more active, starting to make sounds that might someday grow into words, and showing more character than eating-pooping-sleeping-machine.
It started off with a visit from cousins Chase (1 year) and William (8 months).
And a little bit of work learning how to eat like a big boy. Haven’t mastered it quite in this picture, but he’s got the hang of it now.
Next was a Christmas Party with a bunch of friends at Gymboree.
And then, before we knew it, Christmas morning was here. First, opening presents at home…
(“Psst… Dad made this for me, for my first Christmas…”)
And then we were off to Nana and Grandpa’s house for MORE presents…
… and then, off to OTHER Grandma and Grandpa’s, for even MORE presents….
And finally, back home to play with his sweet new ride….
It has been six of the happiest months, and we are both so happy to have a beautiful new addition to our family. He also sits well for pictures, which is a boon for Dad, certainly.
Merry Christmas (somewhat belatedly, of course) and Happy New Year, to everyone!
Love, The Merryfields
