This past summer, Gisele and James were married in a beautiful ceremony full to bursting with family and friends. When we had met previously to talk about their wedding, they couldn’t express stronlgy enough how much their family and friends meant to them, and it was my job to bring that out in the pictures for this wedding.
It made it challenging at times, coordinating quiet moments with the groom and his beautiful bride while people were coming in with hugs, laughter, and not a few tears, but at the end of the day I know just how lucky I was to share such a special occasion with two genuinely warm and welcoming families.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful North Pointe Community Church, with pictures to follow down in a quiet spot in Edmonton’s river valley. The reception was held at the Chateau Nova Yellowhead, and we were treated to one of the best wedding dinners I’ve had yet. Following a touching and also very funny program, Gisele and James opted for an awesome karaoke party instead of a traditional DJ. And these two can sure as hell belt out a great song, too! (I may have found myself behind the microphone before the night was over, but gladly there’s no photographic evidence of that.) It was a great, very unique and personal way to wrap up what was an awesome day spent celebrating two awesome people.
