This post has been a while in coming – six months to be almost exact. At the behest of a friend, and in light of my son’s impending first birthday, and also on the occasion of my first Father’s Day, I think it’s an opportune time to post some more pictures of Finn. The whole Father’s Day weekend has been excellent for me, mostly because we had a ton of time to spend together, including swimming and dinner at McDonalds, spending afternoons together while mom did some running around, and spending the whole of Father’s Day together from morning til night. This is how I really wanted to celebrate Father’s Day, just me and Finn and mom too, relaxing and enjoying each others company.
To celebrate, here are some highlights from the last six months that I’m happy to share. We start with a happy boy with a new Easter outfit….
… and hunting for eggs….
… and spending so much time at Nana’s house that I needed a bath before we went home… luckily cousin Chase did too….
Um… I don’t think this is chronological, because we went to Hawaii in February & March. Oh well. Here’s some favorites from there….
I have no idea when this picture is from, but as Finn has become more mobile he as enjoyed reorganizing the cupboards he can gain access to. I find my tea canisters in all sorts of odd places.
Scenes from his first “salon” haircut (Nana had done the duty to this point).
I can’t help it: this picture reminds me so much of “Full Metal Jacket”. SHOW ME YOUR WAR FACE!!! The truth is this was me luckily catching a yawn in progress.
And finally, a couple pictures from today….
Finn surprised me with a new book that I can read to him…. “Why I love my Daddy.” This picture is getting printed and is coming to work with me.
Happy Father’s Day everyone!
Bonus: A quick video from our visit to the pool on Friday, and Finn’s first trip down a water slide.
