The best part of being a photographer is that you get to meet all sorts of different people and really spend some time reveling in their energy. Families can be calm and laid back, they can be busy and so full of energy it’s hard to not get carried away. Weddings can be solemn and beautiful celebrations, and portrait sessions can be bubbly and boisterous and full of a quirky energy that two people in love bring to the session. I’m just there to enjoy myself and take a few pictures.
This brings us to Penny & Andrew. Friends with big hearts and a great sense of humor. A pair of souls that have found each other amidst the mass of people we come across in our everyday lives. We spent a great afternoon together exploring some familiar haunts and just getting comfortable with each other. (Photographers note: ladies are usually pretty at ease in front of the camera, but guys need a little time before they really start to perform for you. Not Andrew. He was on from frame one.) While we’re all happy to be done with winter, especially the mess that it turns into in early spring, these two are even happier as their wedding is rushing up on all of us – early June, or just a shade over two months away.
I’m excited. With this much energy, other friends to share in the joy, and the Muttart Conservatory, what could be better?
