Every wedding is unique in its own way: different colors, different people, different attitudes, different schedules, different locations. June fourth was a day of a whole lotta different for me.
For starters, prep photos were with the guys, not the girls. We started at the Board Room, downtown in Commerce Place, where everyone received a trim & a shave (except me, which I frankly could have used) before getting dressed up for the big day. Andrew & the boys were relaxed, comfortable, and willing subjects (particularly Andrew, as I might have mentioned previously). Then I hooked up with the girls for a little alone time, and found everyone calm, cool, relaxed, no one moreso than Penny, who was cool under fire and honestly looked radiant. There’s something about putting redheads into a white dress that just makes them glow.
Then it was off to the Muttart Conservatory for the ceremony, which was again something different for me – the overabundance of LIGHT. SO many churches and reception halls are dim and really test a photographer’s mettle, but the Muttart? Light, plants, flowers, and did I mention light? What a wonderful place to get married. I had a little more time with the wedding party in the various pyramids, and then chased the lot of them into the waiting limo (also out of the limo, as you’ll see shortly) to head off the a night of partying.
This is their story, one that I enjoyed from start to finish.
PS: Penny & Andrew processed out after the ceremony to John Williams “Throne Room March”. Google it, and imagine the awesomeness. I literally laughed out loud it was so awesome.
