There were three reasons I was REALLY looking forward to shooting Tamera and Moe’s wedding:
- They’re pretty awesome people and we have good chemistry, so it’ll be fun.
- It took place in October, so with luck we’d have some fall colors to shoot with.
- They were renting a sweet vintage Jag to ride around in for the day. Photo opportunity!
Two outta three ain’t bad. There were still leaves on the ground, even if there were none really on the trees any longer. It was warmer than October typically is, and really, numbers one and three (especially one) will cover for a lot of crappy weather and weird situations.
A whirlwind tale of the wedding day: we started at the Fantasyland Hotel, with Evelyn Charles stylists showing up in-suite as there was a fire in the salon the day prior (thankfully no one was hurt!) and a terrific make-up artist whose card I missed. Next was a quick trip to Holy Trinity Riverbend Church, an awesomely cozy church with a pretty sweet priest, Father Jon, and terrific light coming from everywhere. After the ceremony, it was off to the Whitemud Equine Center for some family pictures, then back to the Fantasyland Hotel for drinks (none for me while I’m working, thanks), dinner, and a heckuva lot of dancing!
This makes it sound like it was such a busy day, and while it was, everywhere I turned there were people taking the time to enjoy each others company, relaxing and sharing a laugh or hug or quiet moment together, and all day long, there was love, love, love in the air.Thank you so much for including me in your day!
And, without further delay, some pictures!
