Spring has sprung and things are getting busier and busier around here (and in all of our lives as well, I’m sure). The thing about getting busier is that it sends my mind back to things I’ve forgotten, and lucky me, I have a few pictures from last year that I neglected to post for one reason or another. So, without further delay…
I went out last year in the autumn to take a few pictures of my sister and her little family, which happens to include my nephew Chase, who I wrote about before. It was one of the last truly beautiful autumn days we were blessed with, when all the trees were still brilliant, and the weather was warm an inviting, and we all went out to Hawrelak Park to take a few pictures and hang out for an hour or so. The best part of family portraits is that it really isn’t about time spent posing for a photographer. It’s really about the time you spend together as a family making funny faces at each other, or running and playing on the grass, exploring a little grove of trees, or just swinging on a swing and laughing. That’s exactly what this session was all about for me, and I simply had a terrific time.
I hope you enjoy them too, and if you’re interested in getting some family pictures done this spring… well, last time I checked, the trees were just starting to bud. It should start looking beautiful and green out there in no time.
